Pure Adventure are an approved Canoeing Ireland Training partner and have been running Canoe, Kayak and Stand-Up Paddle Board instructor training and Assessments for many years. Patrick and Philip are both qualified Instructor developers with Sport Ireland coaching and have many years of experience training paddle sports instructors & guides. 

All our courses are accredited and approved by Canoeing Ireland and Sport Ireland Coaching. 

Becoming a paddle sports instructor is a process that takes some time and dedication.  Please contact us to discuss your options. 

When do our instructor training courses run?

Generally, we run the courses on demand for clubs, businesses, adventure centres or groups of friends. If we have a public course running you will see it advertised on our social media or you can contact us to see if we have any running.  Most common time of year for us to run these courses is Spring and Autumn. 

What do I need to do before I can do an instructor training course? 

Level 1 & 2 Kayak or Canoe instructor you must hold a Level 3 skills certificate (In Kayak or Canoe) before you can do Instructor training. 

Level 3 Canoe Instructor training you must hold a level 4 Canoe Skills before you can do the training. 

Flat Water SUP instructor you must hold a Flat-Water SUP skills award before you can do instructor training

Instructor Assessments are all run on demand. Please contact us to organise and assessment when you have all your logbook requirements met.
